Hee Seon majoring in Chemistry at the University of Iowa with an interest in beauty product applications. Hee Seon became interested in participating as part of the Glass Facility personnel after having an opportunity to construct a gas bubbler in her inorganic laboratory course. "During my time in the glass facility,  I learned some basic glass blowing skills and the operation of the glass workshop and gained a deeper understanding of how the laboratory apparatus works. Being able to experience the process of glass processing, manufacturing, and repairing in the laboratory up close was very helpful to improve my skills in handling glass apparatus in the laboratory.  It was great spending my time in the Glass workshop over the semester." - Hee Seon Shin
