Scott Daly and Bess Vlaisavljevich were awarded funding from the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to help establish the Transuranic Chemistry Center of Excellence. 

This Stewardship Science Academic Alliances (SSAP) Center of Excellence is led by Georgia Tech and includes collaborators and national lab partners from across the United States. The goal of this center is to study the chemistry of elements beyond uranium and train the next generation of researchers in nuclear science and engineering over the next five years.
