Computational Chemistry at the University of Iowa

At the University of Iowa Chemistry Department, you have the opportunity to focus exclusively in the development and application of computational chemistry methods or use computational chemistry as an integral part of your experimental project. Indeed, at the UI, computational chemistry is used to study physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry as applied to biological, environmental, or synthetic chemistry.

In addition to a first-rate research environment, you will have access to the state-of-the-art computational facilities that are available at the UI and at supercomputer centers around the country, and classes such as Introduction to Molecular Modeling and Quantum and Computational Chemistry.
