Dr. Amanda Haes (Newly appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry) has received the Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation New Faculty Award for her research on "Enhanced Pathogen Sensing Via the Integration of Molecular Beacon and Nanoparticle Technologies." She begins her research as an Assistant Professor in August 2006.
Len MacGillivray (Department of Chemistry Associate Professor) an American Chemical Society Cope Scholar award. This is a prominent national award, a tribute to Len's success in organic chemistry, and an honor for him and the Department.
